2nd Annual Glendora Rotary Hoopla Was a Blast

March 22, 2011 the Glendora Rotary Club had our 2nd annual Glendora Rotary Hoopla event featuring the Harlem Wizards against our very own Glendora Unified School District teachers and staff. There was a lot of "Tricks Hoops and Alley Opps". The event was a fundraiser to help the local schools and other community programs we support.

Here are a few videos and pictures of the night’s event.

At the event we presented a check in the amount of $3200.00 to the Glendora Unified School District. In this picture along with our Club President Keith Hilliard was GUSD Superintendent Dr. Robert J. Voors and one our our club members Assistant Superintendent Marc Chaldu.

The GUSD teachers and staff were all in there Hoopla jerseys with the name Harris on the back. Why Harris you ask? This is in respect to Paul P. Harris the founder of the first Rotary Club in 1905. On February 23, 1905 the first 4 Rotarian's met for the first Rotary Meeting. Now over 105 years later we are in over 200 countries and with over 1.2 million members.

We could not have been able to do this without the support of all our club members, program sponsors and the community who came out to enjoy the event. Program Sponsors

Here are some more pictures and videos of the event.
