Proud to be a Rotarian: Our Foundation

Community grants are another good reason to support The Rotary Foundation this Year - Write Your check Today!
by Ed Hupp

Here is another reason to write your check to THE ROTARY FOUNDATION and give it to Ed or Lani today: Our Rotary Foundation’s DISTRICT SIMPLIFIED GRANTS.

This year there is $35,000 in District Simplified Grants for Clubs in District 5300. These funds supplement the monies of club budgets and allow clubs to carry-out local community projects. These funds are available in addition to the $100,000 in District matching funds that will be used by District 5300 Clubs to obtain Rotary International matching funds to carry-out international projects.

Take the amounts in our District 5300 and add the amounts in the other 32,000 Clubs
around the world and you get the idea that your contribution ($5, $100, $125 or more) is making a huge difference in the quality of life of thousands and thousands of men women and children.

It all starts with a the relatively small annual donations of each Rotarian. Together we are indeed making a difference in the world and all of us should be proud to be Rotarians.
